Slipdisc Records was an independent industrial-metal label based in Chicago, Illinois (US) from 1995 to 1999. Slipdisc had one sub-label Lost in Bass Records.
In late 1998, shortly after becoming a sub-label of Mercury Records / Polygram Records; Universal Music Group International (Seagrams) purchased Mercury Records and shifted Mercury's artists over to their Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) where they were then sectioned into Island Records, Def Jam Recordings, and Mercury Nashville Records. The majority of Mercury's sub-labels were closed, including Slipdisc. Lost in Bass Records was later reformed in 2002 as Cracknation Records.
Slipdisc was located at 101 W Grand 6th Floor, Chicago, Il 60610; and online at Slipdisc.com.
