Notables are a ska revival band from Seattle, led by Johnny Horn and Matt Nims. They released their debut album Quite Notable in 1997 with Conception Records. The album consisted mostly of original tracks, but included several cover versions of tracks by such artists as Jimi Hendrix.

While the band uses a rotating cast of supporting musicians, the names listed on the album (Clive Williams, Lester Moore, Lonesome Jerome, Winston Sharples, Malcolm McDermott, Snuff Wilson, and Gitsie) are actually pseudonyms invented by Horn and Nims.

The band’s rendition of the song Perdido was featured in season two of The Sopranos. Their music also features in the 1999 comedy film The Sex Monster.

After a long break, Notables signed to Mossburg music and released the EP A Notable Christmas in December 2007, featuring a guest performance of former Specials member Lynval Golding. Notables are due to release a second full-length album in 2010.
