Their debut full length album Entitled “Discoveries”, which was labelled by Kill Your Stereo as “Australian album of the year” coincided with their signing to We Are Unified and was released to much anticipation on 11-11-11, straight off the back of a 24 date regional headline tour.

Node isn't an improvement on Singularity, but I think it's enjoyable. It's feels a bit more atmospheric than their earlier stuff that's for sure. Marcus did a much better job when it comes to clean vocals, but his uncleans sound so generic. In such an oversaturated genre that's not good at all. The guitar work also doesn't seem as interesting. What keeps me listening to it though is the drumming hands down. Nic can work a fucking kit. He can go from such soft rhythms and caressing it to pummeling the shit out of it. Nic keeps the band interesting. I'm interested in seeing Marcus live, apparently he's better than Adrian when it comes to performing.

I love Marcus, and i absolutely adore ROT. But, fuck, node just seems unfinished. It doesn't move me, i can't even force myself to listen through the whole thing. It's a step back imo, but vocals are not the part of the problem.

Pretty stale and repetitive compared to their previous releases. I wouldn't call it bad, but it's definitely not that enjoyable either. [3] Its a step back for them.

Animate is definitely the strongest track on Node. I was kinda worried since the album kinda lost its steam after Rot but Jesus, Animate is sublime.

'Node' feels kind of bland so far. It's just lacking the intensity of their previous releases.

The new album is still quite a good album, solid lyrics, brilliantly written and constructed, however Node will never be able to emotionally affect me like Discoveries and Singularity did. Adrian was amazing. I miss you dude.
