Biography

The Hague, The Netherlands (2000 – present)

Noodrem is a Dutch punk rock band from the province of South Holland. According to 3voor12 they “make original Dutch . A band with catching songs; instant festival hit.” Most of their songs are own work, but their song Sammy is a cover of the song Sammy by Ramses Shaffy.

The band started out as Super Fertile Sisters in the year 2000 in The Hague, The Netherlands when drummer Sven Hostile and guitar player Pieter Pav decided to start a punk band. A bass player was soon found in Basket Cees. The Super Fertile Sisters made a powerfull mix of punkrock, surf and ska and started performing on small and medium sized stages throughout the province of South Holland in the year 2001.

In the year 2004, Sjors! started as the new bass player so Basket Cees could focus on his performance as the lead singer. In the year 2006, the name of the band was changed into The Doldrums. Sven Hostile left the band in 2009 to persue a different sound. He was followed up by Rolo in 2010.

In 2010, the name of the band was changed to a Dutch name (Noodrem) after the decision to continue composing Dutch songs only. Composing songs in Dutch makes the band more sincere. The new Dutch songs have been said to be “extremely catchy” by Dutch popportal 3voor12. Their energetic live shows are powerful and fast. Their motto: “If people are watching, they want to be entertained!”
