NOMO were conceived in 2003 when University of Michigan jazz studies graduate and multi-instrumentalist (tenor sax, keyboards, electric mbiri) Elliot Bergman and some of his acquaintances began jamming at an Ann Arbor, MI, house where many of them lived.   • NOMO just got off stage at TOP about 15 minutes ago (June 25). Outstanding show as usual. Jamie Register was sporting a mohawk and she KILLED on bass. I know I am selfish, but I'd love to hear some new tunes--still the old ones were just fine. They did a lot of Ghost Rock & Invisible Cities material and the first encore was Sun Ra's #9.
