Biography

The performer featured on 'Foundry Solo Triptych' is the London based clarinet player, not the American singer of the same name who performs on 'I'm you Girl'. Born in Corbridge, Northumberland, he plays in a variety of groupings, all of which place a large emphasis on improvisation. His other CD releases have been with the groups Uncle Rabbit ('200 Used Cars', 2007), and Splatter which released 'Music for Misanthropes' in 2009 and a second album, 'Scraffiti' in 2011. 'Scraffiti' features, in addition to Taylor, Anna Kaluza (alto sax), Pedro Velasco (guitar) and Michael Caratti (drums). 'Border Patrol' (2010) is a CD featuring duets with the Berlin pianist, Niko Meinhold, and 'All Fall Down' (2010), features clarinet duets with Alberto Popolla . He is also a member of the 'London Improvisers Orchestra', 'Redstart' and 'The Raw Stories Collective'.
