Biography

nive was born in Nuuk, Greenland - this is also where she lives when not traveling to play music or act. her myspace page reads:

“My name is Nive. I ‘m an Inuk, a real eskimo from Greenland. Seriously. I play music, mostly on my little red ukelele and with some help from my friends. I like that. I ‘m currently working on a demo/EP. And playing. Which is just wonderful. Can’t wait for what’s to come! I love singing. And cowboy boots. And walking in the snow. I ‘m scared of ghosts. And bugs. And ghost bugs as well. I ‘m living in London this year. Studying, and finding people to play with. It’s awesome. And a little scary, too. Cause there’s bugs here. No ghosts, so far. And loads of new music to be made, yay!”

this pretty much sums it up nicely. nive is an actress also, most notably in the T. Malick film “the new world” (2005) but also in several arctic TV programs and short films. She graduated from Goldsmiths College, London with a documentary film about greenland kayaks as MA in visual anthropology in 2008.
