About this album
The album was released after Nightwish had a three month break from touring, in support to their Déjà Vú tour. This new tour ended the era of DPP songs being the majority of the concerts, and the band is now playing many songs for the first time with Anette Olzon, such as Ghost Love Score, Romanticide,
Dead Boy’s Poem. Escapist, a b-side from Dark Passion Play, had never been played live before.Oh, and by the way: It’s Escapist and not “The Escapist” according to the album cover. Damn Spinefarm.

@max1978: I just want to mention that when I saw Nightwish live (with Anette) there was no backing vocal tape. When Anette sang "The Siren" it was all her, and her version was very different, but also very beautiful.

wow Jim, for once you have something to say, and your enlightment makes sense! Dont forget that while on DPP tour, Tuomas was still using old tapes with Tarja's back-vocals, and if Tarja has no rights on the songs, she probably has rights on her voice!! So Tuomas didnt want to mess around with paperwork, but i guess he mostly didnt want to re-record the back-vocal tapes, for one of 2 reasons: either hes too lazy, or just too afraid of the result. What would be "the siren" back-vocal tape without opera? a disaster! you dont surprise me much with that last insult attempt, coming from one who shouts at least 10 times more than I. what if YOU would get a life...i like you too

It's pretty obvious that here's some enlightenment necessary. Firstly, releasing this live album was an idea of Nuclear Blast, the band didn't want to release any live stuff before they would have recorded a second studio album with Anette in the first place. Secondly, there are no older songs (pre-DPP) on this album because Nightwish (respectively Tuomas) didn't want to mess around with the paperwork that would have been necessary. Thirdly Tarja has no rights on any Nightwish songs. Also this album sucks because it is fucking unprofessional if you compare it to anything else Nightwish released. And max9178, get a life loser.

lol, how cool is that, on this live album theres only two good songs, "Poet and the Pendulum" and "Last of the Wild", Guess why, there is no, Phantom of the Operas, Planet`s Hell`s, Kinslayers and so on?

It's such a pain though T__T I want this album to be seen in my album charts! [2] Also, I would have liked to have Anette's version of The Siren on here. I know -- legalities -- but when I saw them live, I was in awe when she sang that song. I loved it!

Some of the comments here are totally - well, I don't wanna be rude :S I don't really know why would Anette sing Passion, idiots. Why the FUCK would she do this?! It would be totally ridiculus, as Anette's style is different. And - as I think she's a really nice and funny (if I can use this word for expressing what I wanna say) girl - I don't think she's willing to be ridiculus. Honestly, after those months she's spent with NW, she got soo much better! If something IS ridiculus, then it's the idea of NW & Floor! When I imagine that it makes me sick. I'm really fed up with this comparing somebody to somebody else. Gee, people, wake up, Tarja's solo - listen to her album then and shut the fuck up about Anete. It's really sad - just realize she's not part of NW anymore, cause the way she beahved like (quite a) bitch :S I'm glad for her she's solo, cause it's better for her and whatever you all think of Anette, she'll always have her fans! (And this was the last time I talked about this.)

your idea of perfection is far from mine, and thank god tarja is being "shitty" to preserve integrity of her work. If i was sarcastic, i would say she must find a way to avoid anette singing old nigthwish even when not published. No more joke: Anette is sligthly better than nothing, not more than that! even the new singer from the gathering is better! band members must think ==» THE SINGER ? FIRED AGAIN hopefullly before the next release, lets hope for the best!

Well I listened to Within Temptation's latest and still love Anette's voice. I don't think it's all that far from Sharon's. The album is only songs from DPP for legal reasons (it seems Tarja's still got the rights to the old songs and is being shitty about it). I can't picture Anette singing Passion, but she was perfect on The Siren, Dead Boy's Poem and Ghost Love Score at the gig I went to. I like Floor too but I think Anette is more suited to Nightwish, in voice, style and personality.

why does "made in Hong Kong" sound like a garage band? because anette has no voice, i still cant beleive they fired tarja and had no idea who they were going to hire. Failure. ive been to one of their gig, they opened with "bye bye beautifull", and it was not beautifull at all. Overall, its a good show, but anette is trully the weakest side of Nigthwish. If you think anette is good, you didnt listen epica's latest, of within temptation's latest. Why is it only songs from DDP? cause otherwise it would be even more evident shes got no voice. Anette will never attemp to sing "passion and the opera", and if im wrong, please tell me quickly where i can listen it, i wanna lol at her. Nigthwish members, did you know a great singer is available? WAKE UP! shes called Floor Jansen.
