Biography

Norway, Alta

Nightcore consists of Thomas S. Nilsen and Steffen Ojala Søderholm from Norway, Alta. Mixing techno/dance music into faster and more happier sounds, their name, ‘Nightcore’, means that they are the core of the night, so listeners will dance all night long.
They first started making music with Dance eJay 2/3 for a school project; they got a 4+ on our first single, and 6 on the whole album, called ‘Energized’.

After this, they understood that they couldn’t come far with making music in Dance eJay so they began mixing music with their own personal, top secret program. Their next album was called ‘Summer Edition’. It was played in many CD-players in their hometown.
‘L’hiver’ is Their 3rd. album, French for winter. Then came ‘Sensaciòn’, Spanish for feeling. The goal was to make this the better one. After just 5 days the album has reached whole Finnmark, with big success.

It just kills me to see how misunderstood Nightcore is. I love the original artist but so many people just increase a pitch in a song and call it Nightcore.

Some songs are catchy, but overall damn overrated. One pure example is their "pitch up" method they used for Witchcraft, speeding it up into like 170 bpm and then.. "BOOM! -There we have it guys. One cheap Nightcore remix.

A person who uses Dance eJay to "create" music isn't a composer/producer of any sort. Neither is a person who steals other band's songs and transposes them to alter the pitch. And 75.000 listeners to such thing so far? More than disappointing.

hko2006 I tried to listen to some of their mixes and want to tell the originals were much better. I do not understand how this music can be enjoyable. I can compare it with Crazy Frog . This terrible voice leads to pain in the head. Of course everyone can choose for themselves what to listen to, but there will always be those who do not understand your choice.

@Aleks_850, some people just like to play 140 BPM songs at 175 BPM. Not a black metal fan but I guess there are people making them because they enjoy doing so and there are people enjoy listening to it. No reason to hate others choices of music.
