Nicolai Ordahl (born 17 June, 1980) comes out of the musically rich environment of Minneapolis, MN. The music scene there was an influence, secondary to his own pragmatic exploration of mystical paths. 2007’s Meridian was a shining and sensitive low-fi debut, with strong hooks and mystical subject matter, inspired by experiences with shamans in the Amazon jungle, and the subsequent disintegration of a relationship.

Heartbroke Ascension is his follow up effort, an EP released independently in 2010. No Yesterday provides a folk-ballad mid-point between slabs of power pop, culminating in the searing single, Bitter Pill. and tapering off with the puzzling conclusion, The Eclipse. Heartbroke Ascension was written in the Himalayas of North India, where Ordahl is now living.

Ordahl features prominently in the documentary film Metamorphosis, shot on location with shamans in the Peruvian Amazon.
