Irish singer, songwriter, musician and film-maker

Nick Kelly released two solo albums on his own Self Possessed Records label, ‘Between Trapezes’ (which won him Best Solo Male Artist at the Irish Music Critics Awards 1999) and ‘Running Dog’ (nominated for the Choice Music Prize Irish Album of The Year in 2005). Before that, he was lead singer with The Fat Lady Sings. Nick Kelly plays occasional live shows, both in Ireland and further afield.

In recent years, he started writing and directing movies. His most recent short film ‘Why The Irish Dance That Way’ was chosen by MoMA in New York for inclusion at Shortfest: Outstanding Films From International Festivals in June 2007, and won first prize at the Chicago Irish Film Festival 2008.
