I keep thinking I can hear faint piano in this song although I know there isn't as title track is the only song with a piano on it...

Underloved, underappreciated...except by those of us who listen.

"Now we rise and we are everywhere" That line just makes me want to cry with pure joy for some reason. This song is gorgeous.

Now we rise, and we are everywhere. One day our ocean will reach its shore. oh Nick, you were gone too soon..... I first heard him on the Island sampler Nice Enough to Eat (Time Has Told Me) in about 1970 and have loved his songs and his guitar playing ever since.

i never realised until now how he doesn't really pitch the notes at the end of the lines - they just fade away, it's strange and beautiful

it's a rare thing to get lost in a song for me, but Nick manages to do it to me every time. Genius, start to finish, and i think one of the best and most complete artists in terms of his music.

That and the fact it's the last song he recorded. It's almost like a quiet middle finger to the depression that plagued him, even though it won in the end.
