the saxophone makes this song
It's touching how his very last recorded song "Tow the Line" borrows the main riff from this track.
Господи, какая же она прекрасная......
the sound of a busy place is fine for a pretty face
One of his most evocative compositions. (2)
One of his most evocative compositions.
Cant imagine this without the saxophone, just another important element in this masterpiece of a song.
Nick Drake is my favorite artist of any medium. I am also an avid saxophonist and jazz-lover. But... this is probably my least favorite Nick Drake song. The saxophone just clutters the arrangement IMHO.

Bunch of 12-year-old's getting upset at the saxophone arrangement. It's good, it's evocative, it fits, fuck off.
sooooo deliciously amazing ♥
That sax is horrible. Damn shame as the rest of the song is beautiful!
The song is so beautiful.
loving the brass arrangement.
I can always listen to nick drake
Wonderful song...well suited for rainy days.
This and Pink Moon are probably my favorite Nick Drake tunes. I love the atmosphere of this song. Reminds me of a bustling city.
what the fuck were they thinking with that shitty sax?
My god. This is wonderful.
that horn raped my ear and turned me gay.
the horn. oh the horn.
London in the rain as from the top deck of a bus in black and white
I usually don't like saxophone very much, but it really fits the late night atmosphere on this one.
this song is london in musical format.
One of his best:D
My least favourite Nick Drake song. Still not bad though.
dig the sax. love horns in general so this is a great track.
ahhh..what a wonderful arrangement.
Nick's voice on this song is wonderful.
this song is one i love most
my favorite Nick Drake's song.
This song <33
Got this album when i was 15. Happy memories of sitting up all night with freinds, drinking cider and listening to "Chime" . Perfect sound track to a cold neon winters night in London.
wow. i never even thought much about the sax in this song, if it fits or not. i like it, personally :|
not quite understanding all the hate.
Clearly the sax player is on drugs...or just an ego maniac. Too bad. It's such a good song.
the sax is awesome. especially at the stay in doors beneath the floors part. totally sets the mood for the song.
Adoro este tema, tan melancólico y dulce a la vez. Una genialidad. (y que saxo!)
What a beautiful song! Those strings are amazing!
Nick Drake is the best
