Biography

Nicholson is influenced both by french classic pop (S.Gainsbourg, J.Dutronc) and by english and american pop music (The Smiths, Portishead, The Coral, The good the bad and the queen).
Their songs are elegant, their lyrics are bristly, and sometimes their instrumental songs have a kind of cinematic feel.

Nicholson realized a first album of french songs in June 2006 called “Moderne”;
this first album received numerous laudatory comments of the french press, notably for the capacity of the group to mix french writing and music in the indie-pop influences.
Nicholson played around thirty concerts in France and in Luxemburg between June 2006 & June 2007.

The band will take out a second album of french songs in Mars 2008 called ” The Rastafarians and the Punks “. This release will come along with concerts in France, Belgium and Luxemburg in the
spring of 2008.

Before this release, Nicholson has just compiled on “French Flair” all its instrumental tracks. We find their taste for the atmospheres cinema there, between Portishead, Ennio Morricone and Air.
Nicholson so tries to make discover his music to a public who does not know french, and to exceed the language barrier.
