Ruprecht T. Pierce is a prolific singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He plays the guitar, bass guitar, piano, mandolin, harmonica, and sequencer. Ruprecht may call on music theory for a composition or completely ad lib the work by playing by ear. He is an expert improvisational artist and can write a songs on the fly — mindful of the need for a central theme for the work.

Ruprecht is able to blend his experience as a writer, programmer, and musician into the perfect triple threat. He has always had a complex duality to his nature. Ruprecht will often collide conceptual opposites with spectacular results.

Ruprecht left college with a dream of become a writer. However, during this journey, he accidentally discovered his passion for writing software.

He has a habit of pursing goals with rabid intensity. After attending two years of guitar instruction with his son, Ruprecht decided that he should master songwriting to make the two years of effort worth it.

Around the same time, Ruprecht read an article in Scientific American about “The Expert Mind.” Ruprecht decided that the songwriting was the perfect mental exercise to prove or disprove the current theories on expertise. Thus, he began writing a song or two every evening to see how far he could push the craft of songwriting.
