@Nestroit - at last someone who doesn't really like that combined thing! It sure adds interesting sounds to less interesting parts of the album (like Belief), but it also distracts and make it less great in greatest moments, like Under the Surface or especially Away (which really should be very focused and calm song at the first half).

I don't like the combined version, it's distracting and takes the focus off the raw energy of songs like Under The Surface... just listen to Times of Grace alone.

1st listen (plain album): This is amazing! 2nd listen (overlapped with Tribes of Neurot): Whoa...

as of a couple days ago this is officially my favorite Neurosis album. so let me fill this post with aphorisms about it. The Doorway is the most apocalyptic song ever. the riff at 3:18 is like God's final judgment poured down from heaven. Whenever I play this I hope there's a thunderstorm outside cause looking at a big cloud about to burst approximates what I'm talking about. Under the Surface is probably my favorite song lyrically. I can't help but try to emulate Scott's crackling howl while it plays. The riff at 7:02 is liberating...the intense buildup closing out with this battering ram of guitar makes me headbang the most out of all the riffs. End of the Harvest is intense...aaaand BIIIIIIIIINDDDD. Away is a very soothing song that still has a hint Neurosis' signature aggression Times of Grace is bonecrushing also. I have a Times of Grace poster on my wall. I have yet to listen to Times of Grace/Grace mix...I have it but will save it for a better time. you don't rush these things.

The most epic and emotionally intense album I've ever heard. Anyone who hasn't done this, listen to it with Tribes of Neurot - Grace NOW. It ups the intensity by 100.

this thing sounds fucking insane playing with tribes of neurot in different sound sources. Always just listened to them by mixing them using software but just tried the 2 cd players approach today and it blew my mind

Nice, the album cover has got to be one of the greatest of any album cover ever. That shit is so gnarly.
