With this album Neurosis further distances themselves from their punk influenced roots and delve further into experimentalism but also still having sludge metal influences. The album sees Neurosis incorporate folk into their sound creating yet another unique sounding album. The album was awarded #18 on Decibel Magazine’s top 100 metal albums of the decade.
