Nels Andrews is a singer-songwriter, currently abiding in New York. His music draws on years of hard living on New Mexico’s historic Route 66. Crafting songs inspired by the high desert climate, and the unique individuals he’s met along the way, Andrews’ style has been described as “music as landscape, timeless tales that instantly take root in your mind as though they’ve been there forever.”
In 2005, he released his debut album, Sunday Shoes, often credited to Nels Andrews & The El Paso Eyepatch. BBC 2 DJ Bob Harris tagged Sunday Shoes as “one of the best albums of the year”. Nashville-based Catamount Records featured tracks on their Hot Unsigned (& Unsung) Americana Compilations, released to americana radio. Honored as a “NewFolk” winner at Texas’ Kerrville Folk Festival, he tours extensively in the US and Europe.
His newest album, Off track betting is out now in the UK on Reveal Records.
