Oh, hello Mr. Soul, I dropped by to pick up a reason
For the thought that I caught, that my head is the event of the season
Why in crowds just a trace of my face could seem so pleasin'
I'll cop out to the change, but a stranger is putting the tease on

Version: A divergence in the space time continuum.

The trans version is the trick of desaster. But well done.

Trans version is interesting sounds like Neil used Devo as his backing band instead of Crazy Horse.

Last.FM mixes versions freely, and the version you hear may not be the version I hear, or the version you hear the next time it comes up. - Neil is God, except he was not good on the tour for La Noise.

Funny, this version's the one by Buffalo Springfield. You can distinctly hear Stills' back up vocals.

The version I'm talking about that I heard on WLS is the version from the "Trans" album.

I discovered this song in 1982 when I heard it on WLS radio out of Chicago. True, it doesn't sound like Neil Young, but it did sound great on WLS next to other records that were hits at the time like "Steppin' Out" by Joe Jackson and "Abracadabra" by the Steve Miller Band.

Meine Lieblingsalben von Neil Young sind "Trans" und "Landing on water". Na Puristen, wie schmeckt euch das?

Trans is the only Neil Young record I can actually listen to. It's fantastic.

RedigaRehder... Trans is one of the best Neil records around, and that version of Mr. Soul is an absolute ass-kicker.

Yo, this is the Buffalo Springfield version, too bad last.fm has no system for correcting this.

Wow, Trans-version is pretty awful compared to the orginal
