Nothing but terrific songs here, and just think of all the fantastic outtakes and live-only Harvesters songs from 1984/85 - one of Neil's career high points, these two years, and probably my favorites since Autumn '73 to Autumn '75. Neil in the '80s may have lost parts of his recording mojo (blame Geffen) but the songwriter's master touch was well intact.

Some real turkeys on this album. "Everybody's Rockin'" is silly, but there is some good stuff on there. Still, "Hawks and Doves" is probably worse than either, overall. But I can at least listen to these. I can't even listen to "Trans".

Yeah, this is pretty damn great. Caught "Old Ways" on the Galaxie Classic Country channel on Cable and it was credited to Neil Young/Waylon Jennings and I was like "Why haven't I heard of this?!"
