This album is very underrated imo. It can easily compete with his other high-rated works (eg Harvest). Beautiful songs with very nice melodies. The female vocal parts on 'The Old Laughing Lady' are beautiful too.

Yeah, there's really awesome stuff here. The three-song run near the end (Here We Are in the Years/What Did You Do to My Life/I've Loved Her So Long) is unbelievably great!

Great amazing. This is not a folk album, this is a pop album. You can hear the Beatles's influence in the guitar parts. And the female choirs are WOW

The first Neil Young album I listened to fully, as a coherent album. One of my favorites, not just by Neil, but as a whole. "If I Could Have Her Tonight" is second only to King Crimson's "Starless" on my list of the best songs ever.

it definitley grows on you. I've had it on vinyl for years and just started listening to it the other day. I love "The Emperor of Wyoming"

The version on the CD is the US remixed version. The original mix, which every other country in the world knows and loves is unavailable except if you've ripped it from the vinyl.

I've been listening to After The Gold Rush for two years and I finally took it upon myself to get some more Neil Young. This is by far my favorite.
