Neil Shah (born on May 23, 1979) is a pianist and singer-songwriter based in New York City. Shah’s voice, songs and style are heavily influenced by classic songwriters from the 60s and 70s, as well modern pop, rock, and jazz artists. While he uses piano as his main instrument, he frequently performs other instruments in his recordings including guitar, trumpet, percussion, and violin.
In 2009 Shah began releasing recorded singles from his vast collection of songs. In addition to Young Forever, Angel, and Frost, several additional songs and a full-length LP are slated for release.
Shah began taking classical piano lessons at the age of 4, and has completed Bachelor and Master degrees music. He now works professionally for various music studios, with credits including keyboard and production work for several major label artists (Estelle, Lauren Hill, Simon Spire), as well as television shows, commercials and features films. He performs and tours regularly as a sideman (Charles Evans, Mostly Other People Do The Killing) and as a solo artist. lizwenholdt i saw him play at caffe vivaldi in nyc last month, he's amazing live. it was solo piano and every song simply great ... he can go from whisper quite to belting it out better than anyone. i've been obsessed ever since. but have to say that even though these current singles are good, I can't wait to hear more...
