I made my friend, who was already a Gaiman fan, listen to this and she fell completely in love. Partially because of his voice

I feel like I enter the most magical tales of all with every Neil Gaiman story. How wonderful to live in such a world and if I should find myself in a fairy tale, I will most certainly follow the instructions very carefully. If the bread crumbs which I scatter to mark my trail are eaten by the birds and I remain forever stuck in the story, would that really be such a bad ending?

To me, this isn't just an instruction on what to do in a fairy tale but also on what to do in life. After all, fairy tales are just instructions to how to deal with life. To me, this poem mainly tells me, to go through the world with an open mind and heart. Thank you.

Quite wonderful. It might be funny, but I think Neil Gaiman is one of the few authors whose physical voice sounds like his authorial voice.

This story is amazing. it's my favourite from the album. it's so sweet and interesting. i've listened to it many times. i may or may not have learned the words by heart.
