“Aotearoa’s best kept secret…” Blues Musician Taj Mahal

“Nat is one of this country’s great soul singers, to see her perform live is to feel shivers down one’s spine. Time after time audiences from NZ to Japan and back have fallen in love with Nat’s drenchingly rich vocal style, left pining for her next performance.” Martyn Pepperell – NZ Musician magazine.

For the past decade Nat Rose has been considered one of Aotearoa’s leading female Soul and Rn’B singers.

From the beginning, touring with Upper Hutt Posse back in ‘95 to laying down BV’s with Hollie Smith, Ladi 6 and Solaa – this is one Pacific Rose who is ready to take the spotlight, with her eagerly anticipated debut album Golden Hour.
A MAINZ student, Nat Rose joined the Sugarlicks family early in the new millennium – working with the likes of Mark de Clive Lowe, Manuel Bundy and more – and formed the popular band, Lennox Ave, alongside Leon Keelan Davies (Katchafire) and Tyna Keelan (Recloose, Dubious Bros), which enjoyed great live success, particularly around AK.
In ’08 though, she has pooled her experiences and friendships, and drops the exquisite Golden Hour album.
Golden Hour is the sound of pure, Aotearoa honey. Nat Rose describes her style as “Soultearoa”, and the smooth, killer beats and gorgeous caramel vocals married to strong, insightful and pure songwriting, reflects this perfectly.
