Biography

Nailbed is a Finnish black metal band which draws it’s lyrical influences from depression, betrayal and suicide.

Nailbed was formed at the beginning of a feisty winter. Forming members of Nailbed were Percele (guitar and mandolin) and Priestess Cunt (synth). Music written in this era is heavily influenced by Summoning, Burzum and Tolkien.

Priestess Cunt proved to be useless for this project since all Summoning influences were left behind. Percele had an idea of a more brutal band. At the end of the year two new members were recruited: Cadaver (drums) and Vesa T. (guitar). Percele took responsibility for vocals and bass.

First demo-cd (To the abyss) was recorded and new material written.

Percele injured his wrist permanently during army and had to drop bass playing. Due to this he soon rejected whole band. Vesa T. was replaced with Hatered (guitar and bass) and the ultimate incarnation of the band was born.

First cd (Contamination of mankind) is published. For reason or another, many of the tracks on master cd were really low quality and only some CD-r copies were sent to few friends.

Birth of darkness and evil -ep recorded but never released. Nailbed was set to sleep for couple of years.

 Nothing

Cadaver and Hatered met coincidentally at local bar. Band was officially reformed and new a member, Departhead (bass), was found. Band decides to release two mini-cd’s with old songs remastered. New material is written and and recorded, and a full length release is set to the end of the year.
