Biography

There are at least ten bands with this name, although it’s likely that more exist.

1. NO the indie rock band from Echo Park in Los Angeles California. Fresh out of European and US tours and most recently featured in CBS show Elementary end of episode 9 with their song The Long Haul. Their debut EP ‘Don’t Worry, You’ll Be Here Forever’ was released 11.11.11 when the band made it available for free download on their site http://nomusicfor.me They also pressed 500 copies on vinyl that have since sold out.

NO just finished a five week European tour with Father John Misty which saw them play 25 shows from Helsinki to Madrid. Prior to that they toured the USA with Electric Guest. Clocking up well over 100 live shows since the release of their EP It is expected we will see a debut album from NO and more touring before the middle of 2013. NME featured NO as ‘Ones to Watch’ and most recently after discovering the band at the SXSW festival earlier in the year TIME entertainment included NO as one of eleven bands you don’t know yet but should.

Locally in Los Angeles NO did the March 2012 residency at The Echo. KCRW featured the band on their ‘Local Bands We Love’. And after a reaction to their song ‘Big Waves’ LA radio station KROQ invited NO to perform at their Locals Only showcase in October.

Their twitter and Instagram is simply @NO and you will find them on Facebook here: http://facebook.com/NOMUSICFORME

They don't just sound like the National; they're a tribute act. The drums to 'Theres a glow' are a complete rip off of 'Squalor Victoria'.
