“Dopeman” was a single by American Hip hop group N.W.A from their 1987 debut album, N.W.A. and the Posse.

A remix of the song was released on the group’s second album, Straight Outta Compton. The song later appeared on The Best of N.W.A. - The Strength of Street Knowledge. The song contains a sample from “Funky Worm” by the Ohio Players.

At 1:34 the song contains a reference to Scarface: “To be a dopeman, boy, you must qualify - don’t get high off your own supply.”

    I was 11 when my older brother enlightened me to NWA. This is by far my fav. My cousin and I used to sing this all day. Taught us a little Spanish too. =)
