Myles Power are an unsigned lo-fi band from Nottingham, England.

Formed in 2006 around ex-Ultranol members Sam Chaplin (Guitar, Backing Vocals, Keys, Programming), Matthew Foster (Vocals, Lyrics) and Sam Horton (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals, Programming, Rhythm), Myles Power have been playing together since 2004 and have written, self-recorded and released an album, sampler, singles and remix project.

Their sound combines a variety of influences, from pop to shoegaze to folk, electronica, ambient and post-rock and incorporates harmonized vocals, pretty/ugly guitars, scratchy bits and threatening bass to a somewhat songlike effect.

Despite each of them living in vastly different parts of the world from one another, and being actively involved with other projects, both solo and collaborative, Myles Power still record together whenever they get the chance. They actively share ideas over the internet, and their latest session took place in the summer of 2011, during which the three produced two new songs which will no doubt catapult them to fame and debilitating drug addictions.

    Hi I'm from a spanish band called Ultranol. I've read that now you're Myles Power and you're not Ultranol anymore. So, I'd be pleased if you could give me the administration of the last.fm profile of Ultranol (password or something). A lot of people of the indiepop scene in Spain are listening to us and lastfm is tracking to the lastfm page of "your" Ultranol. It would be very happy news for us, thanks.
