“Fallen” was written by Richard Shelton, Kevin Veney, Loren Hill, and Leonard Huggins and produced by Ron Fair and One Up Entertainment for Mya’s third studio album, Moodring (2003), containing excerpts and elements of the 1963 track “Saudade Vem Correndo,” as written by Luiz Bonfá and Maria Toledo, and performed by Bonfá and Stan Getz.
Released as the album’s second and final single in November 2003 (see 2003 in music), it reached number fifty-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 35 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[1] The song was featured in the film A Cinderella Story (2004), while the Chingy-featured Zone 4 Remix made the soundtrack to 2004’s Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
