Biography

Seminal indie/shoegaze rockers My First days On Junk includes members of several different bands: Colin Clary (Colin Clary and the Magogs, The Smittens, Let’s Whisper), Jason Routhier (Colin Clary and the Magogs, Let’s Whisper), Steve Williams (Colin Clary and the Magogs, Let’s Whisper), Brooke Dooley and Jed Mayer.

Their influences are as far ranging as the individuals and projects that make up the band. Think the best part of My Bloody Valentine, Built To Spill, The Lucksmiths, Stratford 4, Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, and a pinch (just a pinch) of indie folkyness. But overall, be ready for a real bombardment of layered and overdriven electric guitars.

No Order is the second official full length release from My First Days on Junk. It was created by friends over many long, cold, windy Vermont winter nites locked in the studio. It’s full of dreams of summer, waves of guitars, breezy boy/girl melodies and simple song structures. It jumps across the drone, rock and pop line never forgetting its roots based in loud vintage amps.

Less than fifty people on audioscrobbler have listened to this crucial band. A more listenable Jesus and Mary Chain. No need to mention one of my top favorite names of all time. If their CD was still in print, I'd push anyone who ever had the chance of reading this word this word and this one to buy it.
