Muzyka Końca Lata - the band came into being in 2002 in Bartek's room and for long has stayed within its bounds. As a result of various coincidences, it has gathered many people and in 2004 finally became a quartet - Bartosz Chmielewski (guitar, vocal), Marcin Biernat ( guitar, vocal), Piotr Majszyk (bass) and Darek Gosk (drums).
In January 2005 MKL participates in the rock festival in Wiśniew and wins its competition. Right then MKL attracts the ears of happysad and is brought on a tour all over Poland. In the same year MKL’s concert recording is one of few which are published on a CDs attached to literary monthly magazine Lampa.
From the music side, the band represents diversity. It draws inspiration from various sources and weaves its tuneful songs and gives away whole range of human’s feelings. You’ll find here rock’n’roll and big beat, country ballads, Mexican ska ang chineese reagge.
In October 2006 a début album ‘One wedding, two funerals’ was published by Sonic Publishing, twelve songs about love, vanishing, holiday boredom, a lady visiting her husband’s grave, a boy who was dumped by his girlfriend and many other short histories happening here and there in the neighbourhood. In the fall, Muzyka Końca Lata with happysad and NAIV bands have set out on a two-month concert tour visiting smaller and bigger cities of our country.
