Mutiny is a band formed by Jerome “Bigfoot” Brailey after he left Funkadelic when George Clinton’s mothership splintered at the end of the 1970s.Jerome Brailey and Glen Goins were working on the concept of Mutiny when Glen’s untimely death occured in 1978. Jerome Brailey continue on with the vision and formed the group Mutiny, which performed in a style which is similar to the classic P-Funk style with a lot of emphasis place on the dual lead guitar work. Their first album was entitled “Mutiny on Da Mothership”. The album was released by Columbia Records in 1979. The album was released a year after Brailey left P-Funk due to a financial dispute. The original album featured a lyric sheet as well as artwork that depicts P-Funk leader George Clinton in a negative way. Mutiny has released 4 albums and one compilation album between 1979 and 2000. Jerome Brailey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
