From their Myspace page:
MUSICA FICTA is a progressive rock group from Israel, which performs original music composed by guitarist and composer Udi Horev.
While listening to the group’s debut album one can easily trace the strong influence of classical music penetrating the world of rock tradition. Further influences are being brought by the six well experienced musicians, all of whom cשme from different styles such as: jazz, classical, rock and world music. Together they create music full of charm and atmosphere- colorful and varied compositions with a broad musical perspective that combines fiction and reality; prewritten music and “on the spot” improvisation; energetic rock, subtle ballads and a few touches of avant-garde. Within this music come to light the capabilities and uniqueness of each player alongside with challenging group playing, all of these in a wrapping of an easy-to-communicate-with songs, sometimes with a vivid nature and sometimes with a rather melancholic one.

Musica Ficta was founded at 2003 by Udi Horev in Jerusalem. During that year the personnel of the band went through a few stages, until it became an organized group. During this period of time the musical material also took shape, and in time came to be the band’s debut album - “Child and a Well”. The band’s debut concert took place at the “Swedish chef” club in Jerusalem at November 2003 and since then the band had performed regularly throughout Israel at leading music clubs such as: “Barbie” in Tel Aviv, “Baraka” in Beer-Sheva, “Stanga” in Jerusalem and many more.
