The Resistance is the fifth studio album by English alternative rock band Muse, released in Europe on 14 September 2009, and in North America on 15 September 2009. Many consider this album to be the final installment in a 'trilogy' of apocalypse themed albums by Muse (Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations and now The Resistance). • Great album, but with ups and downs, I give it a 7.3/ 10. the best are:Uprising,Resistance,Guiding Light,Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 3: Redemption.
  • 3.6 out of 10
  • A few decent songs but overall they really lost their way on here. [5]
  • The first Muse album I listened to. I'm really surprised of how good this band is, I always thought it would be some alternative rock crap.
  • Come 1 million listeners!!!
  • This has actually aged fairly well, in my opinion [2] seems to have took me 6 years to figure this album out. I grinned when I Belong To You started playing in my earphones...I distinctly hating this to bits when TR came out. Why the sellout question, some might ask? Because this album won Muse their first Grammy in 2010, and their mainstream power started growing after this. Absolution obvs won them the beginnings of a mainstream audience, but TR made even more people curious about Muse. Props to them for having a album with French opera excerpts, not one but THREE symphonies and an Arabic sounding orchestra cum Queen mashup on their Grammy album.. Probably only Muse could carry this off. If it were any normal band they would have been written off as a loony one.
  • this is a good album, waay better than the 2nd law for sure
  • Bad Muse album? Are we even listening to the same band?
  • How the hell is this album used as a bad reference?? "We don't need another album like Resistance". Are you kidding??? THIS WAS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE, I WANT A MILLION ALBUNS LIKE THIS
  • The start of their rapid decline, anyone who disagrees is just pleb ;)
