Biography

Muchy is a Polish band formed in 2004 in Poznan by Michał Wiraszko, Piotr Maciejewski and Szymon Waliszewski. They recorded their first demo album “Galanteria” in the summer of 2005. Playing shows across the country for a broad variety of audiences, they were acclaimed the best unsigned Polish band of 2006 & ‘Full of Promise’ for 2007 by Polish Public Radio 3 and ‘Machina’ pop-culture magazine. Their official debut album called “Terroromans” came out in November 2007. In 2008 Tomasz Skórka joined to play bass. Muchy has played more than 150 gigs such as Heineken-, Jarocin- and Off-Festival. Special events for the band were also: recording “Papierowy ksiezyc” feat. Halina Frackowiak and representing Polish music in Moscow. Their second album is scheduled to come out in February 2010.
