See Oliver Mtukudzi. Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi (born in 1952 in Highfield, Harare) is a Zimbabwean musician, one of the longest-lasting popular performers from that country. He began performing in 1977 when he joined the Wagon Wheels, a band which featured Zimbabwean legend Thomas Mapfumo. Their single, "Dzandimomotera," went gold and Tuku's first album followed, and it was also a major success.

  • Love Oliver Mtukudzi!! Discovered of course from Putomayo, and ever since enjoyed.
  • This is truly great music. Without sounding dull and patronising, it is truly great to share music taste with the world. I feel closer with music then with any other media. Probably because it is the easiest to relate to. Spread it and share your tastes. People reading this might be interested in Mulatu Astatke, the father of ethio jazz and anything relating to Putumayo label. Bravo.
