Well, normally, I don't like going to shows, especially at bars, but this one was an exception to the rule.
I am friends with Greg from Bluester, and went to see them perform for the first time.
The first opening band, Stone Avenue sounded like old school country, mixed with Modest Mouse and I really didn't care for them much.
The second band, however, Mr. Fahrenheit was amazing. They are alternative rock with an amazing saxophone player, and their songs were very upbeat. They just made me want to dance.
Then, Bluester took the stage, starting out with the first track off of their new EP, Carolina. It blew my mind! The crazy psychedelic blues rock continued through other songs such as Mid-Nite Beauty Queen, a cover of Cream's Crossroads, All The Same, a couple other older songs of theirs', and then their unbelievably badass and epic cover of Black Sabbath's War Pigs. They closed out the show with their epic jam song, She Let Me Go, and the bartender, Jimmy, even got up on stage and jammed on drums with them for 5 minutes or so.
