Gotta remember that the way Bowie writes is to use Cut Ups... lots of unrelated lines on paper throw into a jar and pick out to see what falls together, so songs can have many elements contained within, as the cut ups carry many threads, not just applicable to a gay theme. I'm sure Bowie wants to see his stuff and being inclusive rather than exclusive! Great song!
