1986 this was a big step forward for Lemmy and the boys - after 2 years of having no recods out., and the last full album was 1983. A Bill Laswell production!!! Looking back, this seems to be unreal - Laswell producing Motörhead.... The production was far ahead, unusual sound mixing, stange overdubs, some voice gimmicks. Laswell helped Lemmy to invent Motörhead for a new decade with 2 new guitarmen around. In fact, it couldn't get any better than this in the 80ies - next album wasn't that good at all.

I love the layered guitars on this one. Lemmy is at his most vicious on the title track; he's practically doing death growls.

Bill Laswell produced it - one of the first metal albums recorded in digital. An odd album for sure, but interesting that Lemmy would take this kind of a chance with such an unusual producer.

Really strange production for motorhead ... almost futuristic for it's time ... awesome sound.
