I don't know that there's anything wrong with the new album as much as there's not enough right with it. On their older material they sounded more innovative, more unique. This album sounds like a throw back to black sabbath worship. It's the kind of album I'd expect from a band still struggling with their influences.

It's literally exactly the same. That's highly amusing.

The new album surprised me, but I think it's good, even though it certainly is a different sound from their older material. Overall, there's nothing about it that I dislike.

i can understand both liking the new album and being disappointed with it. it's definitely a departure. personally i like it. it is Moss going a bit more into the trad way of doom due to the vocals but the huge heavy factor is still there.

Don't like the new album too, clean singing sucks.

I never considered them drone doom, I know the band themselves never did either and I think they hate drone doom..too much movement and structure to Moss to be even thought of as that. That said, i don't think musically the new album is all that different, it just has the clean voice now and better riffs is all. I think the Horrible Nights cd is a great great album. Great doom metal!

Really don't like the new album at all. They've turned from one of the most unique drone/doom groups into every other Electric Wizard cover band.

Moss hasn't released any new music since 2009. When "Horrible Nights" is released in the March I look forward to seeing the stats change, cos on one gives a shit about the dutch band.

Right. The Dutch indie Moss not only have way more plays than the angry English Moss (I mean look at that Top 20...), but the separate albums of the Dutch Moss also have more listeners. I checked the 'Listening Now' section: Dutch Moss - almost exclusively. Conclusion: it's about time for the Posses of all other Mosses to cut the crap and accept that their favourite Moss is Moss #2 or Moss #3, or whatever. Thank you :-)
