Moses George Hogan (March 13, 1957 - February 11, 2003) is an African-American composer and arranger of choral music. He is best known for his very popular and accessible settings of spirituals. Hogan was a pianist, conductor and arranger of international renown. His works are highly celebrated and performed by high school, college, church, community, and professional choirs across the globe today.

  • Highlight of my life (so far) was traveling with my college choir to New Orleans a year after Mr. Hogan's passing and singing in the St. Louis Cathedral. When we hit the final note of "Wade in the Water" two members of the Moses Hogan Chorale who were in the audience stood up and cheered. I get chills just thinking about it.
