Well, it's been a long time since I rocked and rolled
Been a long time since I did the stroll
Ooh, let me get it back, let me get it back
Let me get it back, baby, where I come from

I'm still trying to figure out what makes this song so offensive. The only answer I can come up with is "white people don't like it when a black person points out that black people invented rock music", but I'd like to think that people aren't that fucking petty. Right?

Wish it was more authentic instead of an interpretation of.

I think he misses the point that white people ignorance is that they only listen to black people music though white people music, they're biased towards race, sometimes even without knowing it, but the music of white people is still legit, it's the ignorance of people that is the problem. And I'm not into the Stones too much, I think Ten Years After is way better. Or he is just parodying people with anti-white music ideology.

It seems to be just an ordinary rap song about rock music...then it becomes more than just rock music!!!
