I do not understand why people do not like this album. He's really underrated. Great game voice, arrangement, Morrissey! This is one of my favorite albums.

Hands down one of the most underrated albums he has ever released. This album doesn't get enough attention. There are SOLID good songs on here that not many people give him. Tony The Pony? King Leer? (I'm) The End Of The Family Line? Come on, AMAZING!

I think Morrissey considers this album a black sheep of sorts but I couldn't disagree more. A very interesting album.

A great album. One of the few Morrissey albums I still put on voluntarily. It's leaps and bounds better than everything he has done after Southpaw Grammar.

The fact that anyone today can still trash this album (total and undeniable herd mentality at its finest, at least to a degree*) and then laud his more recent efforts as masterpieces boggles my mind. How a person can proclaim in such safe, smug disgust that Kill Uncle is "his worst" when put next to the audio/lyrical holocaust that is You Are The Quarry is something I cannot and will not try to understand. Granted, some of the lyrics are kinda "cute" in a way that isn't really typical of Moz, and Asian Rut just plain sucks... But so what? It's a solid album as far as I'm concerned. The good far outweighs the bad. *If the artist claims to hate it, or it gets enough bad press (often a big motivation for artists to claim they hate something they've done in itself), it's almost a universal fact that dumb people everywhere will be more likely to agree based on the outside influence and the social benefit that comes with not having a mind of their own.

I think Found Found Found and Harsh Truth Of The Camera Eye are the best songs on this album. I also think they are two of his best songs - ever.

Hasta la edición de un nuevo album de Morrissey, voy repasando todos los anteriores. Según la epoca escucho uno u otro. El más directo "southpaw...", el más directo con canciones muy efectivas: " Ringleader...", " Bona Drag..." para los momentos que quieres probar cada uno de sus singles. " Kill Unkle " el más acústico y más enigmático, ocupa su lugar en la larga carrera de Morrissey.

This album is full of lightweight tunes. People seem to think that lightweight is the same as shit but that's obviously not the case. These songs are gentle, cute and the music has a tranquility within. These are by no means bad songs, the lyrics may be a bit thin on King Leer but the music is barely ever average.
