Morpheus Descends, originally named Morpheus (US), were an underground NYDM band in the same vein as Incantation and Immolation. However, unlike their New York peers, they celebrated only cult success and broke up after releasing two full-lengths, one of which was only available in a private print. Spanish label Xtreem Music repressed the band's full-length Ritual Of Infinity along with their first 7" EP, Adipocere, on one CD in 2005, the first MD material to achieve widespread distribution.

  • They are absolutely god tier DM. Incredible DM from NY.
  • God tier is right man.
  • god tier death metal. I saw these guys at maryland death fest and they kicked ass. there was some sound bleed between the instruments because the sound system at mdf sucked and made it sound worse than on the album, but they still kicked ass. Shook hands with the drummer and I acted like a fanboy and was like holy shit I am gonna freak out when you guys play on stage. Then I proceeded to buy every single bit of merchandise they had.
  • beyond stoked to see these guys at mdf!
  • Wish they didn't cut Moupho Alde Ferenc Yaborov to 5 min. The full 9 min track alone is incredible and should of been kept as it is.
  • Anyone who has seen them live recently, do they play any of their EP material?
  • Super ultra mega awesome mondo gnarly radical old school death metal from my state!
  • I think more appropriate album art for Chronicles of the Shadowed Ones would be a picture of Laurence Fishburne taking an escalator.[3]
