Moottörin Jyrinä is a metal band whose music is for kids and everyone with childlike mind. Music is real metal except that lyrics are directed to children. Band plays also covers of bands like Motörhead, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden etc.

The idea of Moottörin Jyrinä begun when Marko Skou and Jarkko Hattunen noticed that they both liked heavy metal. They both worked at kindergarten and were really bored with the old corny nursery rhimes. That’s how Moottörin Jyrinä (inspiration to that name came from Motörhead)

In 2004 band made rough-sounded demo with 13 tracks. That demo gave birth to few good gigs and the name Moottörin Jyrinä started to grow.

In 2006 they sidned a deal with Spinefarm Records. 2007 boys started to work on their debut album. That album was never to be released. That is because album was full of cover songs and copyrights could not be confirmed.

Finally in 2010 hard working team got out their first album Lapsimetallin Kuninkaat. Moottörin Jyrinä was an Emma candidate 2010.
