Moongoat produce a wonderfully unsettling immersion. Playing out like a planted distant memory, each track describes an unfolding atmosphere that slowly becomes whole as it fills the room like a gas.

Perhaps as an unconscious response to Eno’s experiments with music for imaginary films, this is music as film. Following in the path of modern ambient luminaries, Stars of the Lid, Moongoat work to create something larger than the drone. These compositions are deceptively complex and chart a hidden trajectory that is never quite apparent until their end.
