    Mon 7 Mar – Soundwave 2011

WOAH. I am a few different colours right now - near-white, brown and pink. I got sunburnt, damn it! It wasn't even that hot, compared with last year at least, but the sun was as UV-riddled as ever I guess. Plus that damn hole in the ozone was still an issue.

    Anyway...

    Lacrymae (Stage 2)
I arrived at the Showgrounds in time to catch the last of the set from the local band on stage 2 - Lacrymae. I would describe them as operatic metal - they had keyboards and a 5-string bass. AND, I had been reflecting to myself on the way to the ground that there would probably be hardly any women on any of the stages throughout the day. I was right, and yet this local band had a chick guitarist! Simone Dow is her name, and it was pretty cool to see a lady up there shredding away.

    Trash Talk (Stage 6).
I was just passing by and caught a glimpse of these guys - they were certainly getting the crowd all riled up with their doof doof sounds. …

Mar 30 Nov – Monster Magnet, Seventh Void

Ive been stuffed in your pocket for the last hundred days
When I dont get my bath I take it out on the slaves
So grease up your baby for the ball on the hill
Polish them rockets now, and swallow those pills

    And sing... space lord motherfucker

    Huh! uh huh

Theres a car in the field now in a column of flame
With two doors to choose but only one bears your name
Youve been drinking my blood well Ive been licking your wounds
Ill shave off the pitch now in the scope of your tune

    Youll sing... space lord motherfucker

I left my throne a million miles away
    I drink from your tit
I sing your blues every day
    Now give me the strength
To split the world in two yeah
I ate all the rest and now Ive gotta eat you

Well I sing... space lord motherfucker

Built in my nightmares and using my name
Youre stroking my cortex and you know Im insane
Im squeezed out in hump drive and drownin in love
Encompass them all to a position above

Step 6: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

Alrighty then. The first one of the new year!
A little later than usual, mainly because the week before I listened to exactly zippo songs. Being in France and all.
Let's see what 2006 brings me as most listened songs.
Oh boy, oh boy. I'm so excited. o_0

    10. Resolve
This song is a modern classic! It's that I only started listening to it near the end of the week, or else it would be way higher up. Brilliant song.

    9. New Wave
This is the song that got me into Pleymo. Saw it one day at a music station, never saw it again. But it was enough to get me hooked on this band. This song still holds one of the most awesome riffs ever.

    8. Bottles to the Ground
Still a great party track. Short but sweet. It's VERY catchy. So watch out, you just might get addicted to it!

    7. Scattered
One of the best Green Day songs. Well, the best Green Day songs are the older ones anyway. People rarely know them, but they are brilliant. I'll take the older albums above the newer ones any day.
