There are 2 groups with the name Moneypenny:
1) Chicago based female DJ-duo Rocktapussy are now known as Moneypenny. The name change happened around mid-June 2009, in time for Spandexxx.006.

2) Moneypenny is a pop-punk band based out of Orem, Utah, although only one of the members of the band, Scott, is actually from Utah. Isaac and Jet are both from Southern California, but came to Utah for various reasons.
Isaac needed a break from nearly 10 years of constant touring, often playing alongside major names in the pop-punk scene (Sugarcult, Yellowcard, Finch, and others.) In 2005 he formed Moneypenny with long-time friends Jet and Cardon. The band mainly focused on writing, practicing, and recording music but unfortunately, they never played a show. The band wrote several songs before each of the members went their separate ways to pursue education at different universities.
During the summer of 2007, Isaac was asked to act as tour manager for the band New Year’s Day on the warped tour. It was there that he rediscovered his passion for the road and playing live music. Upon his return to Utah he quickly rounded out the line-up by recruiting bassist Jet Harper, guitarist Danny Wilson, and drummer Joseph Arrington. The band experienced an instant cohesion due to similar musical backgrounds, while still bringing their own unique style and taste to redefine a sound that is bound to lodge itself firmly in your head.
