My Father My King (20:15)

Cover of Mogwai EP

From Mogwai EP and 6 other releases

“My Father My King” was recorded and released as a single in 2001.

It uses the melody from Avinu Malkeinu, a prayer from the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur to plead God for grace in spite of sins committed. Apparently, the inspiration for this came from producer Arthur Baker. Steve Albini produced the song.
