  • I like this just because I was put in my own meaning... so that`s good:)
  • Another heartfelt song for me. @NeoOneNil: Same here man. Though I hardly ever heard those two names back in the day.

  • for the past 15 years, I swear to Richard Dawkins & Charles Darwin the lyrics were this: '...Don't anybody know my troubles WITH God...'

  • And the video is art; one of the finest storytelling vids ever done with amazing casting.
  • Haunting. Classic Moby.
  • I love this!
  • Great song
  • takes me back to much better times.
  • Vera Hall's brilliant voice. I actually prefer her a capella, as much as I can appreciate Moby for bringing an old folk blues song to the masses. It should be "Natural Blues ft. Vera Hall" :)
  • wow love that music video...
  • Ahh...even on an inferior loudspeaker in the gym, this could possess me. So glad to have this in headphones now.

  • In order to get the full effect of this song, you have to watch its music video(Not the one here, the one with Christina Ricci). There aren't too many post-80's music videos that I like. So I don't say that lightly. Music videos are no longer an art form like they were in the 80's. They're just a marketing tool now. But the music video for this song is one the few exceptions. Its simply amazing. As amazing as the song.
  • First time hearing this and I love it.

  • I love this song<33
  • I remember this coming out, when I was quite young, I always found it so haunting - even at that young age. Such an amazing song
  • Beautiful song, but Moby doesn't deserve all the credit for it. It samples "Trouble So Hard" by American folk singers Vera Hall and Dock Reed. It was first released in the UK, where it peaked at number eleven. For the album Play, Moby sampled heavily from the collected field recordings of Alan Lomax in songs such as "Honey", "Find My Baby", and "Natural Blues", while the track "Run On" was inspired by the traditional "God's Gonna Cut You Down". (from Wikipedia) All of the samples he used were put together well, but let us not forget the musicians who sang these amazing songs and gave Moby the most important pieces for his songs.
  • love this song
  • perfect song!
